Brunch, Art & Pancakes: A Girls’ Day at Liv’s Palm Springs

If your idea of the perfect girls’ brunch involves good food, pretty surroundings, a little art, and the possibility of a cocktail afterward, Liv’s Palm Springs deserves a spot on your Palm Springs itinerary.

Located on the bottom floor of the Palm Springs Art Museum, Liv’s feels less like a typical restaurant and more like brunch wandered into an art gallery and decided to stay. There’s plenty of outdoor seating surrounded by pools and outdoor art, while the indoor dining room is playful and artsy, filled with eclectic pieces and gorgeous fresh-cut flowers.

We arrived for a SQUAD girls’ brunch during the off-season, when the menu was more limited.

I ordered the Herbs & Flower Omelet made with farm-fresh eggs, chervil, citrus fern, dill, feta, a salad bouquet, and potato pavé. Visually? Absolutely stunning. The flowers practically screamed, “You are brunching at a museum!” Taste-wise, I wanted a little more seasoning. The omelet was on the bland side, and there were definitely more edible flowers than I knew what to do with. They looked fabulous, though—and honestly, that’s very Liv’s.

I was slightly jealous when I saw the fall seasonal menu, which includes options like a ham and cheese omelet and steak and eggs. Clearly, I need a return trip.

But the real SQUAD winner?

Liv’s pancakes. Our entire table was obsessed. They come with wild blueberry compote, banana butter, and real maple syrup. Add a side of bacon—because obviously—and you have yourself a brunch situation worth repeating. Extra points for the bacon.

My guest went for the Liv’s Burger, a 6-ounce patty topped with cheddar, Bibb lettuce, heirloom tomato, caramelized onion, pickles, and Liv’s sauce. Her verdict: delicious. The burger can also be swapped for a veggie burger.

For drinks, I had the chai latte while my guest ordered the classic lemonade. Both were refreshing and hit the spot.

Liv’s was created by Chef Gabriel Woo and his wife, Jackie, and was inspired by their youngest daughter, Olivia. The restaurant reflects her warmth, creativity, and joyful spirit with a menu centered around fresh, seasonal ingredients.

We loved the service and felt right at home.

I’d happily return during Palm Springs’ fall season to try more of the brunch menu, grab a seat outside, and soak up the art-filled surroundings.

And if you’re planning a girls trip or bachelorette weekend, Liv’s is definitely one to add to the list.

Bonus: they also offer cocktails, including margaritas and espresso martinis, plus Thursday night pizza and prosecco and communal dinners.
