Who said Christmas needs snow? Because Palm Springs said nah, let’s do tinsel in technicolor. If you’ve ever wondered what Christmas looks like when it’s served hot, glam, and extra, simply strut into Just Fabulous on Palm Canyon Drive and prepare to have your holiday spirit absolutely slayed.
Picture this: you’re walking downtown Palm Springs, the sun is out, your iced latte is sweating, and then—BOOM—you’re hit with a full-blown Christmas fever dream. We’re talking pink, purple, blue, and electric green Christmas trees that immediately transport you into an artsy, camp, Palm Springs–coded holiday universe. Desert Christmas? Verified. Vibes? Immaculate.
A true Palm Springs staple, the iconic Just Fabulous Christmas trees are curated every year by Steven Monkhursh, founder of Just Fabulous, alongside his equally fabulous team. If you know, you know—Just Fabulous is that tchotchke store. The one that screams “iconic Palm Springs” with coffee-table photo books, cheeky cards, gifts you didn’t know you needed, and yes, even a children’s section. It’s retail therapy, but make it personality.

The Christmas magic doesn’t just happen overnight. The Just Fabulous team starts curating these legendary trees as early as October. Because when Christmas is your Roman Empire, you plan ahead.
“Christmas and the holidays have always been my favorite time of the year,” Steven shares. And it shows. This year, the team decorated forty eclectic trees, each with its own main character energy. Honestly? Trees that would make every Elf on the Shelf spiral.

Steven’s personal fave? The Caviar and Champagne Dreams Tree.“I love the ornament with the champagne popping out—because who doesn’t dream of a caviar and champagne life?” he muses. Same, Steven. Same. The tree sparkles with caviar, oysters, and luxe champagne moments—basically manifestation, but festive. “I just want to find unique ornaments—you won’t find them anywhere else. I personally curate all the ornaments myself.”
And that’s the whole point. Steven’s goal is simple: when you walk into Just Fabulous, you feel fabulous. Mission very much accomplished.

Each tree tells a story—and some of them are unhinged in the best way. There’s a Canadian Tree complete with poutines and Canadian flags. A New York City Tree decked out with yellow taxi cabs and iconic “I ❤️ NY” rats (yes, rats—New York realness only). There’s a High Fashion Tree featuring Louis Vuitton elves and Anna Wintour ornaments giving full runway authority.

But our personal favorite? The Pink Glam Tree, dripping in eyelash ornaments, makeup moments, and unapologetic sparkle. Here at SQUAD Magazine, we’re officially dubbing it the SQUAD-Mas Tree. She’s pink. She’s glam. She understands the assignment.
“This year, the trees all flow with specific themes,” says Alexis Vega, Just Fabulous Sales Lead and SQUAD Magazine fashion correspondent. “We worked hard to curate them so each tree showcases its individual story. We wanted all the trees to pop and say, ‘Come take me home.’”
And trust—every tree is screaming exactly that.
Some honorable mentions (aka our top-tier obsessions):

The Gourmet Food Tree - Sparkly Spam ornaments, bacon and eggs and legendary TV food Icons like Martha Stewart and Julia Child.

The Naughty Tree – Yes, it exists. Pink penises, bondage statues wearing Santa hats, and naughty Santas living their best lives. Not for the faint of heart—but definitely for the bold.

The Celestial Tree – Suns, tarot cards, aliens in spaceships. For the astrology girlies and cosmic thinkers only.
More Than Just A Store
At its core, Just Fabulous is more than a store—it’s a curated experience. As Steven puts it, “I don’t want to just sell stuff.” And that’s the magic. You don’t just shop here—you leave lighter, happier, and maybe with a pink eyelash ornament you didn’t plan on buying but absolutely needed.
So if you’re craving Christmas with personality, sparkle, and a little chaos (the good kind), Just Fabulous is your must-stop destination. Come for the trees, stay for the vibes, and leave feeling—say it with us—just fabulous.
